Issues in digital cartographic data standards; Report 9; A final bibliography for digital data standards

Abstract

For the last five and a half years the National Committee for Digital Cartographic Data Standards has been working to develop cartographic data standards for the United States.During this entire time period references to germane articles and reports have been collected and circulated to the Working Groups of the Committee from the Columbus headquarters.A preliminary working version of this bibliography was published as Committee Report #5, A Working Bibliography for Digital Cartographic Data Standards.This updated version is the result of three more years of work and contains more than a thousand references, mostly in English.The report is organized into five fundamental sections: General References, Cartographic Objects, Data Organization, Data Quality, Cartographic Entities.It should be noted that the inclusion of a particular reference in the bibliography does not necessarily mean that the Committee endorses the concepts or ideas set forth in that reference.
