AuszugWie jede Außenpolitik ist auch die Außenpolitik der Bundesrepublik geprägt durch bestimmte außenpolitische Grundorientierungen und Leitlinien. Diese werden häufig mit Begriffen wie „grand strategy“ oder „außenpolitische Staatsräson“ umschrieben; eine analytisch präzisere Begrifflichkeit spricht von „außenpolitischen Rollenkonzepten“ (grundlegend dazu Walker 1987; vgl. auch ).
