In Colombia records and interpretations of rock art began from the fifties of the nineteenth century. Systems description and interpretation issues were pioneers. The political changes brought about a special kind of new ways of documenting and new processes of interpretation. Finally the influences of European research extended the narrow framework of national efforts, but they produced the uncritical reproduction time, a single copy in traditional patterns of conduct of studies in France (Abe. Breuil), determining, in summary, the loss of information. The spread of European ideas, has led researchers generally observed in other parts of typologies, chronologies and stylistic structures evolving structured chronologically and not working on diversity, with the peculiarities of each area, finding its language and its uniqueness
