Abstract

This paper discusses and theorizes about the role of libraries and librarians in the information society. It discusses issues such as shift in the informational and educational paradigms and how to library must make changes in their management processes. It takes a deep and thorough study of information literacy and its impact on students' learning processes and their importance in the educational models. Finally, it proposes a model for change in the university library based on theoretical evidence worked.
