In this article we present a survey conducted during the fall of 2007. We interviewed 700 undergraduate students about their information-seeking behaviour. We found that the Internet, especially Google, plays a major role for the majority of the students and that they tend to select resources based on accessibility, ease of use and convenience. We also found that there are differences in the use of information sources depending on how long the students have been studying. We also found that stringent course requirements from faculty and staff affected the students’ information behaviour. The results provide an insight into the factors that influence students’ information–seeking behaviour and the information sources used.
