This paper compares the semantics of two closely related words in Dutch, om and rond, that both correspond to English round. Building on earlier studies of the English word, a map of meanings is constructed on which om and rond define their specific territories. The notion of path plays an important role in these meanings. The two semantic territories of om and rond are shown to be convex, nearly disjoint and oriented in opposite directions of the map.
