According to psychological type theory, orientation refers to the area from which psychological energy is drawn. This chapter explores whether the similarity in type profiles of Church of England clergymen and clergywomen was replicated among male and female ministers serving in the Free Churches in England where there has been a somewhat longer established acceptance of women in ministry. Specifically, the chapter focuses on men and women engaged in the Methodist Church and in the Baptist Church in England. The histories of the recognized ministry of women within the Methodist Church and the Baptist Church in England have followed somewhat different paths, partly as a consequence of the different polities of the two denominations. The conventional format of the type table has been employed in the present chapter to allow the findings of this study to be located easily alongside other related studies in the literature. Keywords: Church Ministers; Methodist Church; psychological type theory
