Abstract

An estimated four thousand unauthorised asylum seekers from Iraq and Afghanistan have travelled to Australia by boat and 'people smugglers' have facilitated most of them. Australian lawmakers have devised some policies and regulations to check this challenge posed by people smugglers and their human cargo.
