This chapter documents the various ways in which the police are experimenting with restorative justice in the United Kingdom. These experiments are shown to have brought the police into a new set of relations with victims. Drawing on original research, the chapter explores what victims think of police-led restorative practice, and argues that this practice may lead to the blurring of some long-standing ideological distinctions between offenders and victims.
