Abstract

People who advocate for single-sex instruction do not generally claim it to be the only successful way to teach boys and girls, and they are very clear on its mission: gender equality. As they employ this innovation, they often find that it can be an effective way to teach many boys and girls in certain subjects or in certain communities, and that it is especially effective as a response to the ongoing cultural need to discover measurable and substantial achievement gains for both genders.
