The present study examines characteristics of long-experienced social workers who are willing to receive supervision. A set of personal and professional variables reflecting these factors was examined among 269 Israeli social workers who accumulated seven or more years of service in their profession. A statistical association correlation between the independent variables and the willingness to receive supervision was found. In addition, most of the participants in the research expressed willingness to receive supervision, but with their increasing age their willingness decreased. An additional demographic characteristic, influencing the willingness to receive supervision, was their ethnic background: the willingness of Arab workers was higher than that of their Jewish colleagues.
