Abstract

This work has changed the way we think about stress and trauma. It is the definitive text on treating victims of trauma such as rape, disasters, sudden bereavement or serious injury, as well as the overwhelming stresses of everyday life such as accidents and illness. Now in its third revision, this classic has been completely updated with reference to treatment issues, and a new chapter on mourning has been added. Stress Response Syndromes is a useful book for mental health professionals.
