Abstract: The so-called Annales Castellani Antiquiores and Annales Castellani Recentiores are two of the most important sources for the history of the Kingdoms of Leon and Castile until the reign of Queen Urraca (XIIth C.). This paper offers a new critical edition of these works, due to their last editions antiquity (beginning of the XXth C.) and slight faults, as well as a translation and a short commentary of the events related in the Annales . Keywords: Medieval Spain, Leon, Castile, Reconquest.
