Abstrak Kehadiran transportasi udara adalah suatu sarana untuk menunjang efisiensi dan efektifitas kegiatan padat manusia yang bergerak dari satu tempat ke tempat lainnya. Di Indonesia terdapat Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, Jakarta, yang mengakomodasi para penumpang dengan sarana transportasi udara. Salah satu kegiatan di bandara tersebut adalah transit pesawat. Diperlukan waktu untuk istirahat selama 1-4 jam bagi penumpang oleh maskapai untuk pergantian rute atau pengisian bahan bakar pesawat dan penundaan keberangkatan sampai 2 hari apabila terjadi kerusakan pada pesawat. Hotel transit merupakan suatu fasilitas yang diberikan oleh bandara untuk memfasilitasi para penumpang selama waktu transit. Melalui pendekatan desain, dirancang sebuah hotel dan interiornya dengan elemen estetis budaya nusantara, sehingga hotel tersebut dapat mendukung identitas Indonesia. Kata K unci : hotel transit, interior, budaya nusantara Abstract Air transportation is a kind of transportation to ease human’s mobility from one place to another efficiently and effectively. There is Soekarno-Hatta Airport which is located in Jakarta, Indonesia. It accommodates the passenger in dealing with air transportation activities for instance, plane trancit. There is a need of passenger that airport should provide a hotel to rest about 1-4 hours while the airline do a plane maintainance , refuel gas, or to change the flight route. Somehow, it will take 2 days of delay if there is a technical problem. Trancit hotel is one of facility that is provided by the airport for the passenger while they do the trancit. Through the design approachment, the hotel will be designed with interior that may represent Indonesia’s identity by applying aesthetic element of Indonesia’s culture.
