Report of the Editors—2011

Abstract

The guard is changing. Starting January 1st, 2012, Ingrid Van Keilegom (Université catholique de Louvain) takes over as Joint Editor, replacing George Casella, who has completed his 4-year term. George will continue handling revisions until the end of June 2012. Four Associate Editors have retired from the Series B Editorial Panel this year: Christophe Andrieu (University of Bristol), Mathias Drton (University of Chicago), Sofia Olhede (University College London) and Thomas Scheike (University of Copenhagen). These Associate Editors did exceptional work and will be sorely missed. We also want to acknowledge Holger Dette (Ruhr-Universität Bochum), whose term also ended but agreed to another term as Associate Editor, and Xuming He (University of Michigan), who agreed to continue as Associate Editor for Series B even though he is now co-editor of the Journal of the American Statistical Association. The dedication and hard work of all our Associate Editors are a key factor in maintaining the level of excellence of our journal.
