Abstract

Originally published in 1979, this book is a standard work on the evolution of rigging, mast-making and sali-making. It is a comprehensive study on the subject. It was compiled over some ten years, from information obtained from contemporary manuscripts, books and models in the archives of the National Maritime Museum.
