This book provides the reader with a critique of the curret operation of the Australian legal system and offers proposals of reform. The book acts as both a book and a book about designed for those involved in the day-to-day practice of as well as for students of and contemporary feminist philosophy. The authors explore the law's central assumption about women's lives and attempts to expose its inadequacies. It is divided into three categories: women and money, women and relationships and injuries to women. While there are no chapters actually called criminal law or family law, the book does provide a sustained analysis of cases and statutes on these traditional areas as well as of a variety of others.
