In this study, the steps in developing a scale to measure the attitudes of the students towards piano education have been explained. The validity and reliability of the scale developed in the present conditions have been applied to 316 music education students in three universities. For analysis SPSS statistics programme has been employed. Factor analysis has been used to determine the structural validity of the scale. In the factor analysis, the main components analysis with varimax transformation has been used. For the reliability, inner co-efficiency has been employed and regarding this total matter correlations have been calculated. Factor values vary between 0,60 and 0,79; Kaiser- Meyer Olkin value has been measured as a=0,97 and inner co-efficiency for the reliability as a= 0,97.
