Abstract

Presents the path travelled by the Central Archive of the Federal University of Santa Catarina ( UFSC) to deploy the Electronic Document Management (EDM ) and document management institutional support . Use literature the concept , advantages, disadvantages and benefits arising from the implementation of the EDM . Describes how the utilization of this new form of access to institutional data , using tools of information technology by the user community . T he software Neutron from the MGS Imagem & Informacao was used to setting the EDM at UFSC.
