Ces reformateurs carolingiens sont les eveques de Metz, Drogo et Chrodegang, Alcuin et Benoit d'Aniane. Comment l'Ordo romanus primus a-t-il ete accepte au Nord des Alpes et quelles modifications a-t-il subit au point de donner lieu a de nombreux ordines? Examen et interpretation des panneaux d'ivoire du Sacramentaire de Drogo (Paris, BN lat. 9428) de la cathedrale de Metz.
