Korea as an ODA Recipient and Its Economic Development

Abstract

For the first time in the modern world history, South Korea succeeded in transforming itself from a recipient nation to a donor country. It is more difficult to give aid than to receive one. We have to remember the time when South Korea was a major recipient country, and give aid to those countries in poverty with both hands. South Korea should send a hopeful message to all developing countries in the world that a recipient could become a major donor.
