Abstract

In hierdie artikel word die taalsituasie in Zimbabwe onder die soeklig geplaas met spesifieke verwysing na die sosiologiese en ortografiese probleme wat deur minderheidstaalgroepe in die land ondervind word. Omdat hierdie groepe getalgewys in die minderheid is en ook 'n relatief klein geografiese gebied beset, ondervind dié minderheidsgroepe 'n aantal probleme. Pogings behoort egter aangewend te word om hierdie tale in die nasionale arena te betrek, in plaas daarvan om hulle na die periferie uit te skuif.
