Abstract

Abstract A dynamic inventory model with deteriorating items is considered in this paper. Besides the demand and deterioration rates, the cost parameters are also assumed to be general functions of time. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a unique optimal solution are derived. An illustrative example is provided.
