This paper examines the issues of moral community, fairness, and redress with reference to the Japanese‐American internment of World War II. Perspectives on these issues are presented for three different groups of individuals affected by the internment: the Caucasian Americans who supported the internment, the Nisei, or second‐generation Japanese Americans who were interned, and their children, the Sansei generation. Finally, a comparison across the perspectives of the three groups is given.
