Research Note: Identifying the Training Needs of Staff Working in Community Residences for People with Developmental Disabilities

Abstract

In order to develop accurately the curriculum and syllabus for any inservice training program it is necessary to first establish the needs of the target audience. In this study the Delphi technique was used to obtain a list of perceived needs of staff working in the field of residential care for people with developmental disabilities. The second round of the study gave these staff the opportunity to set the priorities for meeting these needs.
