Geography Education and Pedagogy Historical Geography and Geographical Thought Evaluation of Teaching Practices

Abstract

The geography and environmental studies programmes at Liverpool Hope were awarded an excellent in the 1995 Higher Education Funding Council's Teaching Quality Assessment but staff did not enter the Research Assessment Exercise in 1996. Subsequently the subject has been developing an agenda for research and scholarship which encompasses subject content and pedagogy. Tutors are encouraged to be reflective practitioners in their research and teaching and to disseminate good practice in both.
