Users expect librarians to help locate information about psychological and educational tests including critiques or reviews of tests, discussions about test development and application, and copies of the test forms. Locating information on tests can represent a difficult challenge to a librarian not trained in tests and measurement. Tests appear in multiple sources and, except for a relatively few well-hown tests, are not indexed by name. In addition, tests are frequently referred to by initials or short forms. Issues such as test publication, reliability, and validity are not routinely discussed in the library education curriculum. This article is a guide to locating information about tests by name, subject, and source in print and online databases. Establishing a library collection of tests is also discussed.
