This article aims to bring a better understanding to the Corporate Sustainability (CS) field as studied by management scholars. The first part of this literature review article first quantifies the amount of research articles devoted to the CS topic in the last years. We then summarize the different CS definitions and measures that have been adopted by management scholars. Findings show that as a new field we have not yet reached consensus on what being a sustainable business means. Finally, we provide a set of recommendations to the management scholarship on how to advance the CS field.
