Bethlehem: A Site Assessment

Abstract

In 1998 the Palestine Exploration Fund considered undertaking some survey work at Bethlehem in the gardens east of the Church of the Nativity, and a preliminary site assessment on which this report is based was undertaken in February 1999. The information derived from this work provides a synthesis of our current evidence for the ancient site.
