Abstract

These twelve essays cover topics on the frontier of indexation and practice, an often proposed and debated tool of economic policy. They range from highly theoretical discussions to practical experiences in Brazil and Europe. Rudiger Dombush is Ford International Professor of Economics at MIT. Mario Henrique Simonsen is Director of the Postgraduate School of Economics, Getulio Vargas Foundation, Rio de Janeiro and former Minister of Finance and Planning, Brazil.
