Course-Integrated Library Instruction for Agricultural Students

Abstract

As the scope and complexity of information technology increases, and the needs of its users continue to grow, a greater emphasis will need to be placed on university libraries and colleges partnering to develop timely and relevant library instruction. It is recommended that freshmen take an introductory library course to gain the skills necessary to competently use library resources and services. At the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, students with majors in the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources take such a library course as part of their required curriculum.
