Abstract

Dr. Darby is Emeritus Professor of Biochemistry and Honorary Curator for the History of Nutrition at the Medical Center Library at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennesee. He is responsible for the History of Nutrition Collection at Vanderbilt University and personally owns a most extensive collection of historical documents and books on nutrition and related sciences. Dr. Darby is Archivist of the American Institute of Nutrition.
