This study examined the relationships between the organizational effectiveness and organizational development of a lodging crisis management plan. The data were collected from a random sample of hotel companies in the United States. The findings suggest that the crisis management issues prompt corporate hotel companies to take precautionary actions when developing crisis management plans. The results indicated that in terms of corporate preparedness and implementation, response and recovery had a positive effect on organizational development and organizational effectiveness. This level of corporate preparedness may determine a lodging firm's success in overcoming future crises.
