Summary Effective training for reference staff working with business reference subjects should be an ongoing focus for administrators concerned with providing quality service to patrons and meeting the needs of staff. Characteristics of information-seeking behavior by patrons with business subjects are discussed. Exercises and training aids are described including methods of measurement and affirmation.
