Abstract

Here we are, brother Macedonians!… So be it. Everyone gets his own share. For 10 years the international community has been convincing us that the Macedonians are of reasonable behaviour, as they had, above all with the wise politics of Kiro Gligorov, avoided bloodshed. As it was, we were here bleeding just because we were not wise enough. The stupid and uncivilized slaughter each other, and the wise and the humane negotiate. In that praise of you there was an indirect condemnation of us. But what's happened now? Did the business‐like Macedonian wisdom stop short?… Don't be stupid. Don't make war! Solve all your misunderstandings with peace and dignity! Show some wisdom. Rise at least once more above the Balkan politics of violence and show some diplomacy… Reason will prevail!
