PHILOSOPHY AND GEOGRAPHY IN THE SEVENTEENTH CENTURY: A REVIEW

Abstract

Editors' note: A series of unfortunate circumstances led to the publication in our last issue (Vol. xxvi/4, pp. 367‐76) of an essay titled ‘Philosophy and Geography in the Seventeenth Century: A Review,’ containing a number of errors. The author was not provided with the opportunity of examining the proofs of the copy‐edited version of his manuscript and hence did not consent to the final version that was published. In order to rectify the situation, we are publishing here a complete version of the author's paper with his consent, and take this opportunity to apologize to him for any inconvenience and any unintended misrepresentation of his work that may have been caused through the publication of the previous version.
