Abstract

In 1968, the Division for Children with Learn-ing Disabilities (DCLD) was organized within the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). The purpose of DCLD is to promote the edu-cation and general well-being of children with this handicapping condition. In an interview of Dr. Patricia Myers, president of this pro-fessional division (conducted by J. Lee Wiederholt, advisory board member of our jour-nal), the activities of this organization as well as pertinent issues in the field are outlined — P.L.
