Developing the National Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning

Abstract

The Information Literacy Standards for Student Learning provide a mechanism by which students become lifelong learners, thinking critically and ethically, with an understanding of the dynamics of group process. The standards will guide school library media specialists, principals, and teachers as they collaborate to help students maximize their learning potential.
