Abstract

Many social workers view private practice as incompatible with the profession's commitment to serving those most in need. This exploratory study investigated the similarities and differences in a number of areas between agency practitioners and private practitioners in Los Angeles, California, and found that the gap between these groups was not always great as assumed.
