Oropos in the Early Iron Age

Abstract

The ancient city of Oropos lies beneath the modern town of Skala Oropou, in the borderline between Attica and Boeotia, opposite Eretria (fig. 1). During the past two decades, the 2nd Ephoreia of Prehistoric and Classical antiquities has conducted more than 50 important rescue excavations in building plots.
