Product Development and Customization Manufacturing Process and Optimization Advanced Software Engineering Methodologies

Abstract

SUMMARY The production of customized products yields an increase in variants. The consequences are high costs, long order-processing times arid development risks. The modular construction method decreases the variety of assemblies and components while still remaining customized. The following paper describes a program system for the computer-aided development of structures for modular systems. The efficiency of the program is demonstrated by an example.
