This work consists of a comparative analysis between the values shared by a group of older adults attending the university program at the Institut Universitaire du Troisieme Age at Montreal and the ones of another group not enrolled for any educational program. The results obtained make clear that gender, age, religious practices, and general instruction do not influence in any way terminal and instrumental values of older people whether they are enrolled or not for a university program. The null hypothesis, namely that there is no significant difference regarding both terminal and instrumental personal values (M. Rokeach, 1973) when we compare older adults enrolled for a college program with others who are not, has been confirmed.
