The Effectiveness of Extracurricular Sport Activities in Razi University and Islamic Azad University Kermanshah Branch

Abstract

The purpose of study was to examine the effectivene ss of extracurricular sport activities in Razi Univ ersity and Islamic Azad University Kermanshah branch. Effectiv eness demonstrates the satisfaction of customers (s tudents) about extracurricular sport activities. It was desc riptive study. Data collection was done through fie ld study. Population composed of 11146 students studying in R azi University and Islamic Azad University Kermansh ah branch in 2007-2008 school year. There were 770 sub jects as sample selected randomly based on Udinsky sample estimation table. The Effectiveness Questionnaire w as used which developed by authors originally evoke d from instrument of Weese (1997). The reliability was des irable (Cronbach α =0.87). Significance of hypotheses was measured by Mann-Whitney U test.The effectiveness o f extracurricular sport activities were not significantly different between Razi University and Islamic Azad University of Kermanshah branch. However, the effec tiveness of extracurricular sport activities were significantly different between males in Razi University and Isl amic Azad University Kermanshah branch.
