Mujer y creación de empresas en Extremadura: un análisis comparativo

Abstract

The present article analyzes in the mark of the Proyect GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor), the evolution of the ventures woman's entrepreneur in the period 2003-2005 in Extremadura; comparing the results obtained with the resulting data of the national analysis in the same period. This article contributes to study in depth of entrepreneurship the part of the woman in Extremadura, analyzing its entrepreneur activity, motivation, profile, psico-social factors or institutional support towards the woman when creating a company. The most excellent results indicate a bigger feminine entrepreneur activity for opportunity, a validation of the profile of the manager extremena that the perception of good opportunities and the fear to the failure depend on the sex and that the institutional support to the manager in general terms is positive
