En el presente trabajo se expone una clasificacion de las instituciones de la psicologia, de acuerdo a tres criterios: sus objetivos, su alcance jurisdiccional y el tipo de afiliacion. Con respecto a sus objetivos, las instituciones son tipificadas como academicas, profesionales y cientificas. Desde el punto de vista del alcance jurisdiccional, pueden ser instituciones internacionales, continentales, regionales, nacionales, provinciales y municipales. Y de acuerdo al tipo de afiliacion, esta puede ser directa o indirecta, determinando instituciones de primero, segundo y tercer orden o grado. Por ultimo, a partir de estas clasificaciones planteadas, y solo a modo de ejemplo, se presentan una serie de instituciones, indicando sus caracteristicas, tanto singulares como compartidas. Palabras clave Psicologia Instituciones Clasificacion Caracteristicas ABSTRACT PSYCHOLOGY ASSOCIATIONS CONSIDERING ITS OBJECTIVES, JURISDICTION, AND KIND OF AFFILIATION This work presents a classification of associations in psychology, in order to three criterions: objectives, jurisdictional scope, and affiliation. Considering its objectives, associations can be characterized as academic, professional and scientific ones. From a jurisdictional perspective, associations are international, continental, regional, national, or from a given state or city. The affiliation to the association can be direct or indirect, determining 1st, 2nd, or 3rd degree kind of affiliation. Finally, and considering the above guidelines, some examples of different kind of associations in psychology are presented. Key words Psychology Associations Classification Characteristics
