The Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) is a performance-based personality assessment measure in which people are asked what a series of ambiguous inkblots might be. This chapter details the nature, history, administration, coding, and scoring of the R-PAS. Interpretive guidelines are provided for identifying cognitive, emotional, and object relations domains of personality functioning. The text discusses application of Rorschach assessment in clinical and forensic practice, and it attends to the psychometric foundations of the measure, including its reliability, validity, and normative reference base.
