Gothic Literature and Media Analysis Utopian, Dystopian, and Speculative Fiction Bioethics and Human Rights Issues

Abstract

This chapter offers a literary criticism to the narrative explorations of Gothic science fiction. It discusses the themes of doubling, organ harvesting, technological duplication or cloning, and notes that narratives in this specific genre has a progressive political agenda. The chapter then concludes that these texts dramatize the imaginative moves that instigates the aggression to the oppressed.
