Wine Industry and Tourism Regional Development and Innovation Business Strategy and Innovation

Abstract

Purpose: We investigate whether the Waipara cluster has changed as predicted and demonstrate how wine clusters in the embryonic stage develop and evolve. Methodology: This case study contributes to our understanding of the evolution of regional clusters and its implications for wine business. Findings: It appears that an aspect of collaboration and collective thought among members may stifle competition, perhaps necessary for success.
