Our preliminary studies indicate that the social representation about the intellectual possibilities and the thought in the age shares with the widest representation in the age, its negative connotation. Beyond the investigative tradition and in agreement with new theoretical lines in psychology of the development and knowledge in the adult, our results contribute to the even scarce evidence about the particularities of the intellectual operation in the age.
