Abstract

[Capitulo del libro: Innovative language teaching and learning at university: enhancing participation and collaboration] -- La Competencia Comunicativa Intercultural (ICC) debe incorporarse en el plan de estudios de idiomas si los educadores esperan ayudar a los estudiantes a desarrollar una apreciacion por el idioma y la cultura estudiados, una conciencia de su propia cultura y el desarrollo de habilidades que les permitiran ser competentes. adaptables, comunicadores. La pregunta clave que se aborda en este articulo se centra en la importancia que se le da a la incorporacion de esas habilidades, ahora reconocidas como cruciales a la hora de aprender un idioma: ?estamos como profesores creando las condiciones para el desarrollo de la ICC, o simplemente estamos esperando que los estudiantes se vuelvan interculturalmente competente por su cuenta? Por lo tanto, es necesario comprender que se entiende por ICC, por que debemos considerar su integracion total en el curriculo de idiomas y abordar los desafios asociados con su inclusion.
